| Overview The Private Equity business within Goldman Sachs Asset Management makes direct equity investments across North America and Europe in a broad range of industries. We focus on buyouts and control investments in the US and EMEA and target an investment size range of $200-600 million in any single investment with the ability to invest >$1 billion. Our goal is to maximize investment value through operational and financial value creation with a focus on achieving long-term capital appreciation by committing equity to high quality companies with strong management teams. Associates in Private Equity work on small sector-focused teams responsible for the acquisition and management of investments. We are searching for an Associate to join the Energy Transition team, whose areas of focus include clean energy solutions, equipment, service and technology providers for the power grid, energy efficiency, resource circularity, and water lifecycle management solutions, among others. You will be involved in a wide range of high-profile transactions, which may include leveraged buyouts, management buyouts, take-privates, add-on acquisitions, build ups, restructurings, recapitalizations, and dispositions. Responsibilities We are looking for highly motivated associates to be integrally involved in all aspects of private equity investing on the Energy Transition team. This candidate will work directly with managing directors, vice presidents and associates as part of small teams that are responsible for the diligence, acquisition, structuring and management of Energy Transition investment opportunities.
