JOB DESCRIPTION

Northwest Bank is seeking a creative, motivated, and detail-oriented corporate affairs intern to join our team for Summer 2026. This internship offers hands-on experience in a collaborative environment, supporting a wide range of corporate affairs activities including media relations in support of quarterly earnings, financial center openings in Columbus, and commercial and consumer bank initiatives, and community affairs activities related to the bank's growth plans in the Columbus market.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Assist in the development of corporate communications and community affairs-related materials for planned and opportunistic strategic pr and communications activities and issues management.

* Conduct media and other key audience research to support strategic planning and ad hoc opportunities, and media pitch development.

* Help create executive briefing materials prior to executive leadership team and regional leader interviews.

* Support business and community affairs event planning, including financial center openings and local events and organization sponsorship-related activations

* Monitor and report on media and social media using analytics tools, including Meltwater and Sprinklr.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Internal Communications, Marketing, Investor Relations, Legal, Commercial Banking, and Regional Consumer Banking Leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including use of copilot AI tool; experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar is a plus
* Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
* Self-starter with a collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and an eagerness to learn
* Maturity to handle confidential (often material non-public) information in course of duties
