  • This position requires up to 50% travel via driving and airline flights within the assigned region and to corporate offices

Job Description Summary: The Regional Operations Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight, operational excellence, and financial performance of the assigned ANC region. This manager drives the strategic development, administration, and retention of all regional operations leaders. Key responsibilities include ensuring world-class safety compliance, achieving profit and loss (P&L) targets, optimizing distribution and logistics effectiveness, maintaining high asset and fleet readiness, ensuring superior customer service, and upholding quality control standards. This role is crucial in fostering a high-engagement, safety-focused culture that aligns with Airgas's corporate goals.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Area BevCarb Managers (ABM), ensuring alignment and execution of the regional business strategy.

  • Cultivate a positive, safe, and professional workplace culture in line with federal, state, local, and corporate safety and environmental regulations.

  • Drive employee engagement, development, and retention for all direct reports and drivers located at remote depots throughout the eastern United States.

  • Oversee and optimize the region's beverage carbonation distribution network, focusing on maximizing route efficiency and execution of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Manage critical assets, including tank inventory, scheduling tank refurbishment, and overseeing stand tank maintenance to ensure product delivery meets or exceeds quality control and safety standards.

  • Collaborate with ANC departments, including Field Service and Sales, to orchestrate service and installation projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and profitably.

  • Maintain comprehensive P&L accountability for all areas within the assigned region.

  • Assist with regional inventory control and allocation processes.

  • Communicate complex financial and operational data effectively through clear report development and interpretation across all levels of the reporting chain.

  • Partner with the organizational safety team to ensure robust execution of all safety programs and operational directives.

  • Maintain expert-level working knowledge of Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) rules and regulations, ensuring all regional operations remain fully compliant.

  • Ensure rigorous adherence to customer and company site compliance activities.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Ten (10) or more years of professional work experience in operations, logistics, or industrial distribution, including a minimum of five (5) years in a supervisory or management role.

  • Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency with Google Kite products (Sheets, Slides, Gmail) as well as Salesforce.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Transportation Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related field.

  • Industrial gas experience a plus
