Acara Solutions is seeking a PCB Layout Designer to join our client on a 2-year contract opportunity based in Fremont, CA.
  • Hourly rate: $67.86/hr.
  • Work schedule: 4 days onsite and 1 remote
Position Overview:
The PCB Layout Designer will be responsible for creating, modifying, and releasing complex printed circuit board designs. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, efficient, and experienced in Cadence Allegro (version 17 or newer), with a strong focus on delivering first-pass quality designs in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform PCB layout design using Cadence Allegro (v17 and above).
  • Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineers to ensure design integrity and manufacturability.
  • Support schematic capture and documentation release using OrCAD.
  • Conduct internal reviews and apply feedback to maintain high accuracy standards.
  • Execute designs that meet performance, EMI/EMC, and manufacturability requirements.
  • Manage design files, documentation, and version control throughout the release process.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in PCB layout utilizing Cadence Allegro
Additional skills desired
  • Proficiency in Cadence Allegro (v17 or newer).
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and speed.
  • Experience with OrCAD, schematic capture, and documentation release preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
