Mortenson is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our Energy Storage Group with the ability to work well with a variety of staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment, remaining flexible, inventive, enthusiastic, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality. As a Project Administrative Assistant, you are at the heart of the business operations and activities and the soul that keeps your team moving forward.

You will be handling a wide range of administrative and executive support tasks with an aptitude to work independently or with little supervision. You move quickly with the changing environment and are up to date with the latest software and services. You also use that knowledge to strategically support your team's projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform regular administrative tasks and overall office organization

  • Greet visitors and customers with a positive demeanor
  • Coordinate and set up meetings, handle calendars, and schedule travel
  • Set up, organize, and manage filing systems
  • Prepare documents, perform record keeping and filing duties as necessary
  • Proofread communications and documents carefully
  • Prepare billing/invoices as needed
  • Coordination between numerous support groups; Safety, Human Resources, IT, Legal
  • Utilizing Mortenson's internal procurement system, procure miscellaneous goods as needed

Other duties as assigned, including:

  • Understand the operating group and company resources
  • Risk Management, Pre-construction, Human Resources, Legal, Environmental Health and Safety, IT
  • Assist Operating Group Leadership members with miscellaneous duties such as expense reports and travel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Detail orientation and the capability to proofread effectively
  • Demonstrate flexibility as well as excellent organization and multi-tasking skills
  • Display proficient skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
  • Exhibit effective communication and active listening skills
  • Positive professional attitude and strong customer service skills
  • Minimum three years administrative support experience required
  • Construction-related business experience preferred
  • Experience with billing, invoicing, and timekeeping preferred
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred

The base pay range for this role is $58,100 - $78,400 (The actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%)

Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skill, and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
