What You'll Do:

• Provide excellent customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the location, including during emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to buildings and facilities, verifying credentials and granting entry as appropriate to help maintain a secure environment.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the education environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus and perimeter to observe and report any unusual activity or potential security-related concerns.
• Maintain awareness of surroundings and communicate with Allied Universal management and/or local authorities as necessary regarding security-related incidents.
• Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed written reports as required by site policies.
• Interact professionally with students, staff, visitors, and others at the location, providing assistance and guidance as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
