Chemical Engineering Undergraduate Intern

The Chemical Engineering Intern (summer 2026) will contribute to SRNL's environmental protection mission by applying engineering and science to accelerate closure and reduce risk at active environmental cleanup sites for the Department of Energy's Office of Environmental Management (DOE-EM).

The intern will assist in preparation and/or analysis of various nonradioactive simulated waste solutions and slurries in support of the Department of Energy Environmental Management directives.

Interns are provided an exciting learning environment to develop into the next generation of professional engineers, explore the unknown, and make impactful discoveries.

Internships typically run for a 10-week period, ideally beginning in May '26.
