| Test Engineer I/II 
 Overview This position is for the EB Maintenance & Modernization Site in Honolulu, HI. 
 Responsible to the Chief Test Engineer (CTE), this role is primarily for a mechanical & electrical deck plate test engineer. As a test engineer, you will be responsible for performing & directing testing of submarine systems and components as specified within required test documents, as well as assisting the CTE in setting work assignments and priorities. Individual will be responsible for safe conduct of Test Phase Task Group Instructions (TGIs) onboard submarines to include fluid system flushes, hydrostatic, continuity, insulation resistance, fiber attenuation and insertion loss, fluid/air system flow verifications and system operational testing. The candidate will ensure work is performed efficiently and must have knowledge of electrical, piping, ventilation, mechanical processes, procedures and components. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 
 Determining workload and test priorities based on project schedules managed by Alteration Installation Team (AIT) Lead(s). Candidates must be willing to travel as part of fulfilling this role. Travel may be expected for up to 1 year at a time and must be able to travel anywhere within the continental United States or Guam. Technical Ability: Responsibilities include verifying TWD scope is safely and properly isolated prior to work authorization. Candidate must have technical aptitude and professionalism to coordinate with other Electric Boat departments, Shipyard personnel, and other industry partners to deconflict work controls and testing priorities. Responsible to audit and ensure proper documentation of contracted work to include Special Emphasis Programs (SEPs) such SUBSAFE, Fly By Wire and Deep Submergence Systems - Scope of Certification (DSS-SOC) Objective Quality Evidence (OQE).  Skills Candidate must demonstrate knowledge, experience, and/or understanding of the following: TGIs/DFs, Work Authorization Forms (WAFs) & system tag-outs, basic understanding of work-flow processes & integration with Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, and basic electrical & mechanical theory & knowledge to successfully troubleshoot test failures.
