Starting Pay: $36.34 per hour, plus shift differential
Shifts: Multiple shifts available

ROLE SUMMARY

Under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment and systems in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. This role may focus on mechanical or electrical/PLC maintenance, depending on experience and assignment.

Technicians support both GMP-regulated and non-regulated areas, ensuring the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of all production and facility equipment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Promote and uphold a strong safety culture, adhering to all plant safety policies and procedures.
* Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems for production and packaging lines.
* Install, maintain, and modify electrical wiring, conduit systems, PLCs, and power distribution components.
* Perform predictive and preventative maintenance, work orders, and improvement projects through the CMMS system.
* Support equipment changeovers, setups, and adjustments to minimize downtime and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
* Conduct root cause analysis to eliminate recurring issues.
* Maintain facility systems, including air compressors, boilers, water towers, and HVAC.
* Participate in Lean and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities, such as kaizen events and daily boardwalks.
* Ensure all Quality and Food Safety standards are met for the Vitamin and Mineral Supplement (VMS) business.
* Participate in technical training and certification programs to advance skills.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

* High School Diploma or GED required.
* 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred; CPG industry experience is a plus.
* Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, including three-phase systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC controls.
* Troubleshooting ability and working knowledge of Allen-Bradley SLC systems preferred.
* Computer literacy; experience with SAP or CMMS preferred.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

* Bachelor's degree or certificate from a mechanical or electrical vocational school.
* 5-7 years of mechanical and/or electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing.

* Strong communication skills; ability to clearly convey information in English, both verbal and written.
* Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
* Calm under pressure and adaptable to changing priorities and schedules.
* Team-oriented with a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

WORKING CONDITIONS

* Work may involve exposure to varying temperatures, odors, or fumes in production environments.
* Proper PPE (personal protective equipment) must be worn at all times, which may include hearing protection, gloves, or flame-retardant gear.
