Overview of this Position:

The porter is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of the facilities. They work to ensure that the buildings remain clean, safe, and welcoming for employees and guests. Ability to take direction as well as be self-directed to perform various tasks to support GRAM staff members and enhance the function of various GRAM buildings is important.

Non-Negotiable Requirements:

  • HS Diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools to perform minor repairs.
  • Must have proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Advanced Education is encouraged but, not necessary
  • Minimum of 5-yrs experience in field related to job summary is preferred.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Support GRAM building functioning via installation of various building and parking area signage, install mailboxes, deliver goods and materials, clear sidewalks, clean various areas of buildings, arrange furniture for meetings, repair random desks, doors, and other general maintenance.
  • Respond to spills, messes, or other cleaning emergencies.
  • Maintain exterior entryways.
  • Monitor restrooms and breakrooms to ensure cleanliness throughout the day.
  • Perform minor repairs and touch ups.
  • Escalate electrical, plumbing, HVAC and other issues to Maintenance Department.
  • Support events with room set up, clean up, furniture rearranging.
  • Escort vendors/contractors throughout facilities.
  • Follow safety and sanitation procedures according to company and regulatory standards.
