CNB is looking for a qualified, motivated, and client- and team-focused individual to join our team as an ON-SITE Treasury Management Public Fund Officer at our Jackson Fields Business Loan Office - Jackson, Michigan. JOB SUMMARY Responsible for assisting government entities, municipalities, and other public institutions with business deposits and Treasury Management products and services. The Treasury Management Public Fund Officer will focus on cultivating new relationships by prospecting alongside market leaders, commercial lenders and private bankers in all markets. The Treasury Management Public Fund Officer will cross sell treasury products to generate revenue and deposit growth while ensuring smooth transition as clients move and expand their relationship with County National Bank. DUTIES * Promotes business development by building and maintaining public fund client relationships, prospecting, onboarding new public fund clients and networking. * This position requires attendance at township hall meetings, DDA planning sessions, and various other meetings related to public fund sectors. The role involves active engagement with organizations such as the Michigan Municipal Treasurers Association, Jackson County Treasurers Association, and the Michigan Municipal League, among others, utilizing these resources to stay informed and contribute effectively to all relevant financial and municipal activities. * Collaborates with branch managers, commercial lenders, and support teams to perform a wide variety of sales and administrative duties including: product development, marketing, promotion, sales, and support of Business Online Banking, ACH Services, ICS IntraFi Services, Remote Deposit, Positive Pay and Wire Transfer Services. * Performs on-site visits and serve as resource for the installation of product software, hardware and applicable training. * Develops, writes and presents formal Deposit Proposals to new and existing public fund clients seeking appropriate approval on exception pricing. * Conducts joint sales calls with branch managers and commercial lenders, visiting existing clients and prospects with an emphasis on growth. Identify referral opportunities to other lines of business to further deepen the client's relationship. * Collaborates with Bank Operations as it relates to daily processing and procedures, as needed. * Conducts training sessions for lenders, retail and business development staff on the benefits of treasury management products and services. * Collaborates with Deposit Operations in completing and maintaining records for annual client audits, as required. * Provides final documentation review and approval for new clients and annual client audits. * Maintains and protects confidentiality of client information. * Maintains regular, on-time attendance. * Remains current in assigned training and continuing education for designation retention (online, video, in-house emails, telephone seminars, etc.) * Assists municipal and public fund clients with Business Online banking enrollment with Treasury Management services. * Remains current with the knowledge of the variety of products and services offered by the bank, and consistently cross sells these products and services to the client. * Makes client calls via telephone or in person. * Answers Treasury Management phone calls and direct to the appropriate department/person for service. * Prepare Treasury Management Agreements and Documents * Complies with all regulatory requirements including Bank Secrecy Act and all others specific to their position. * Performs other various duties as assigned. CONTACT WITH OTHERS - INTERNAL * Communicates on a regular basis with branch managers, commercial lenders, information technology, marketing and deposit operations staff members. CONTACT WITH OTHERS - EXTERNAL * Communicates on a regular basis with current and prospective clients. * Communicates on an as needed basis with product vendors and auditors. Requirements SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. * Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance, Public Administration, or related field. * 5+ years of experience in treasury management sales, with at least 2 years focused on the public sector clients. * Proven success in client relationship management, retention, and business development. * Strong knowledge of treasury products, government banking, and public fund investment policies. * Ability to manage multiple priorities in regulated, RFP environment. * Excellent interpersonal skills (tactfulness, cooperation, courteousness and client friendliness) are necessary to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints from clients, regulatory agencies or members of the business community; and to represent the bank in a positive manner. * Excellent written communication skills with demonstrated ability to write clearly, concisely and effectively, with attention to detail for visually appealing output and accurately proofreading publications. * Excellent verbal communication skills with the demonstrated ability to effectively present information to clients and management. * Strong administrative skills with effectiveness in developing tasks and managing resources to achieve targets/goals. * Positive and cooperative approach when working with others. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. * Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents including instructions, financial reports, and legal documents. * Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and analysis of variance. * Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. * Ability to define and solve intellectual and practical problems and deal with variety of variables in situations. * Ability to efficiently and accurately keyboard information, both computer and calculator. * Strong computer skills with a proficiency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
