The Recreation Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the resort's recreation areas, including FIT Waikiki, Swell Infinity pool / deck, and Queens Arbor. This role ensures a high level of guest satisfaction, team engagement, operational efficiency, and revenue growth across all areas. The Recreation Supervisor provides leadership, coaching, and performance oversight to recreation staff while promoting a safe, welcoming, and dynamic environment for both guests and team members

Supervise and coordinate daily operations of the FIT Waikiki, SWELL Pool Deck, and Queens Arbor, ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe service delivery.
• Motivate, train, and develop team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences while meeting departmental goals.
• Monitor, analyze, and drive daily sales performance in all recreation areas, implementing strategies to maximize revenue and upsell opportunities.
• Coach and hold team members accountable to performance and service standards, partnering with the Director of Recreation to address performance concerns and issue progressive discipline as needed
• Maintain consistent standards of cleanliness, safety, and compliance with all resort policies and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in scheduling, payroll, and administrative tasks for the recreation team.
• Address and resolve guest concerns or operational issues promptly and professionally.
• Collaborate with other departments to coordinate events, programs, and special activities across recreation areas.
• Support the Director of Recreation with reporting, budget tracking, and performance evaluations.
• Conduct regular inspections of all recreation areas to ensure equipment, amenities, and facilities are in excellent condition.
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and emergency procedures, ensuring team compliance and guest safety.
• Monitor inventory and supplies for all recreation areas, coordinating restocking and ordering as needed.
• Assist in developing and executing seasonal promotions, activities, and experiences to enhance guest engagement and revenue opportunities.
• Maintain accurate records related to daily operations, guest feedback, and sales performance.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management of recreation team members.
• Employees must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the pool areas, furniture, and service areas of the pools in an organized manner.
• Replenish all towels and retail amenities and stock as necessary during the shift.
• Assist in opening and closing side-work as assigned.
• Assist in ensuring the cleanliness and tidiness of the pool or lounge areas.
• Assist with any retail outlets.
• Assist guests with service requests when needed.
• Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
• Other duties as assigned by Director of Recreation and management team

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• At least 1-2 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field required.
• Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
• Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
• Ability to stand during entire shift.
