Job Description: This Sr Labor Strategy Consultant provides strategic analysis and planning for contract negotiations. Develops hypotheses for critical and complex issues involving labor contracts, economics, industry landscape, and Southwest's labor strategy. Serves as a subject matter expert to negotiating committees on contractual comparisons and competitive opportunities. May also serve as a part of the Negotiation Team and perform other duties as directed. Additional details

  Ensure accurate results of analysis performedPerform analysis related to industry and competitive research, labor contract benchmarking, and contract and compensation comparisonsMaintain ongoing knowledge of industry trends and practices of competitors; track the changing landscape of other airline labor contractsCreate analytical illustrations and cogent insights needed to present analytical findingsCollaborate to ensure alignment with colleagues within the Team and from other Company departmentsDevelop and deliver structured presentations that inform and influence audiences using insights and illustrations derived from analysisConstruct and manage complex analytical modelsContribute to educating Executive Leadership on the labor cost impact of the SWA business model and competitive advantages and disadvantages of SWA labor contracts vs. industryEngage with negotiating Teams and attend negotiations in the role of a subject matter expert as neededCreate analytical illustrations and insights in support of Labor communicationsInterpret Union contracts as they relate to payroll, leaves of absence, bid processes, and other work rulesAct as a Labor Relations subject matter expert and provide executive presentations and explanations on complex issues and projectsMay perform other job duties as directed by Employee's LeadersKnowledge, Skills and Abilities

Storytelling capabilities, especially to cross-functional professionals (people with different backgrounds).Experience gaining buy-in and self-starters. Business or Finance Consulting background.
