Consumers Energy knows job number one is to keep the lights on for customers. We are committed to delivering reliable, clean, and affordable energy to our customers 24/7. Location This is a hybrid (virtual/onsite) position with required onsite days on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday preferred assigned to the Parnall Office located in Jackson, MI. Other locations may be considered; however, the selected candidate will likely still be required to work onsite at the Parnall Office one to two days per week. The selected candidate must be within a commutable distance or willing to relocate (relocation package is available for those that qualify). General Summary of Job Responsibilities We are seeking a dynamic leader to oversee a multi-disciplinary team of project management professionals dedicated to delivering capital infrastructure projects for Consumers Energy's Gas Delivery business unit (managing nearly half of the business unit's $1+ billion capital spending annually). These projects span the full scope of our natural gas system - including transmission and distribution pipelines, metering and regulation facilities, compressor stations, and gas storage assets. The ideal candidate will bring prior experience managing complex gas infrastructure projects, solid understanding of project management methodologies and demonstrate a strong ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. The Executive Director of Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) Project Management is responsible for developing and executing the strategic project management approach for the entire business unit. This role oversees the establishment and tracking of performance metrics and ensures the successful delivery of all projects within the portfolio. The Executive Director leads Directors and Senior Managers across project management disciplines, providing guidance and driving consistency in strategies and standards throughout the business unit. The position holds accountability for project management processes, controls, quality assurance, construction management, and adherence to close-out standards. Additionally, the Executive Director is charged with strategic oversight, critical decision-making, and ensuring the successful execution of large-scale projects.
