Job Description

This position will manage the organization, direction and implementation of a growing portfolio of Center for Health Policy (CHP) program and project initiatives, providing professional leadership, consultation and expertise within the areas of focus. The position is responsible for overseeing and guiding the day-to-day administrative and functional management of project activities and staff; implementing scopes of work and related operational policies and procedures to guide the delivery and overall success of each project initiative to achieve outcomes and realize benefits of strategic importance to CHP.

This position will oversee and align CHP business administration, fiscal operations and grant/contract management to develop and implement tactical solutions and tasks, department policies, procedures, and processes to ensure efficient workflow, and resolve day-to-day technical, operational or administrative problems.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the activities, priorities, and resources of multiple project initiatives of varying size and complexity to include operational and technical leadership, project governance and direction, project monitoring, team integration, and change integration.
  • Ensure that projects progress in accordance with contractual obligations and comply with sponsor/stakeholder regulations and internal organizational policies.
  • Manage program/project teams, ensuring program goals are reached for optimal return-on-investment; coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives.
  • Oversee the selection and training of project staff, assigning clear roles and responsibilities, providing effective supervision, and managing performance to ensure efficient project implementation.
  • Provide administrative direction and coordination; manage the application and administration of departmental grants and contracts; oversee administration and fiscal operations; serve as a liaison with all levels of internal administration and outside the organization to coordinate departmental business and accomplish directives.
  • Manage communications across all stakeholder by serving as the primary project contact person and liaison; coordinate organizational relationships with senior leadership partners, stakeholders, and sponsors, providing support in facilitating collaboration and coordination of activities.
  • Collaborate with department leadership, project sponsors and cross-functional teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, resources, work plan, and timing for new project initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing large datasets in collaboration with government agencies/partners.
  • 3 years of experience managing teams
  • 5 years of experience managing projects progress in accordance with contractual obligations and comply with sponsor/stakeholder regulations
Anticipated Hiring Range

Anticipated Hiring Range: $59,737.60 - $110,198.40
Grade: GGS 011
