The Donation Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and facilitating the donation process, including scheduling donation pickups, packing, and overseeing the collection of donated items for resale in Palmetto Goodwill stores and E-Commerce. Essential duties include on-site coordination and execution of commercial, school and community yard sale donation drives, as well as estate pick-ups. Maintains positive community relations at all times. Assists Community Relations department in special initiatives as needed to support the Donated Goods Division of Palmetto Goodwill.




  • Demonstrates Palmetto Goodwill's Amazing Customer Experience (ACE) Culture, I-CARE Values, Mission, and Vision in all actions.
  • Represent Palmetto Goodwill in a positive, pleasant manner by providing excellent donor and customer service at all times. Serve as role model and adhere to Agency guidelines. Handle customer requests and concerns in a friendly, respectful, fair, and impartial manner.
  • Respond to inbound calls from prospective donors and provide information on donation guidelines and processes.
  • Seek out new donation opportunities.
  • Pack donations for transport.
  • Pick up smaller donations solely.
  • Attend previews of larger pickups to determine the facilitation process and resources that will be needed.
  • Schedule and coordinate donation pickup appointments in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Manage and track all scheduled donation pickups, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Work closely with donors and the Transportation Department.
  • Provide excellent customer service to donors, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
  • Must be able to operate a small cargo van.
  • Actively coordinate donations from community organizations, schools, retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and other businesses.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports as determined; ensure that all paperwork is completed in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information related to operations, financial matters, and personnel issues.
  • Ensure safety and security of Palmetto Goodwill assets; report known or suspected Safety and Loss Prevention problems promptly and according to procedure.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
