The Senior Director of Marketing serves a pivotal role in driving the success of the organization by collaborating with the division General Manager to design and implement healthcare provider and patient-focused marketing strategies tailored to the U.S. market for the assigned product portfolio. This position ensures the global marketing strategies are adapted to address the local market needs effectively.  The role contributes to the organization by developing and executing strategic and tactical marketing plans that align with the broader business objectives and strategic imperatives. Key responsibilities include crafting the U.S. brand strategy, setting clear objectives and delivering consistent messaging and branding across the division while aligning with corporate goals. The position also oversees cross-functional initiatives, leads CMLR meetings, plans budgets, aligns on forecasting, coordinates agency partnerships, and more. Collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders, including business partners, healthcare professionals, patients and payers is integral to success.
 Additionally, the Senior Director ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and the company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring marketing inititiatives meet both organizational standards and compliance guidelines.
 
Job Description:
 Responsibilities: Marketing Planning and Execution: 
 Develop and implement marketing activities for approved indications.Identify and communicate new opportunities; adjust strategic/tactical plans as needed; track commercial success.Develop and execute consumer and healthcare provider-focused materials and strategies.Manage the marketing budget within guidance, taking corrective measures as appropriate. Strategic Collaboration and Alignment: 
 Collaborate closely with VP/GMs and marketing team members to support local strategy and tactical initiatives.Align marketing strategies across key stakeholders: HCPs , patients, and market access customers.Ensure alignment with PTC's global and corporate marketing goals; maximize product performance.Provide input into portfolio revenue forecast. Cross-Functional Implementation: 
 Work cross-functionally to implement marketing strategies and tactics.Ensure internal alignment and understanding to meet local market needs. Compliance and Governance: 
 Ensure compliance with all corporate policies, regulations, and laws at all times. Media and Stakeholder Management: 
 Direct activities across the media mix, in collaboration with other PTC functions.Facilitate communication and collaboration with patient organizations and third parties in line with regional compliance. Leadership and Team Development: 
 Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing marketing team by fostering collaboration, innovation, and strategic thinking.Set clear objectives and priorities for the marketing team to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategic imperatives.Perform other tasks and assignments as directed by management. Qualifications: 
 Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum 10+ years progressively responsible commercial experience in a pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or related environment, at least 5 years of which were spent in marketing roles OR equivalent experience and/or education. Rare disease product marketing experience is a must.Demonstrated track record of success supporting the marketing and commercialization of an orphan, rare disease, and/or specialized drug(s) that require the development and execution of unique sales and marketing strategies. Strong working relationships with CMLR teams and processes.Proven experience in managing and executing comprehensive digital marketing campaignsUS Launch experience of an orphan, rare disease, and/or specialized drug(s)Patient-centric mindset and approach to work.Demonstrated success in developing and executing long term and annual marketing strategy.Hands-on experience in collaborating and working with patient organizations.Ability to anticipate issues and respond quickly, flexibly and creatively to solve problems and address commercial market challenges.Ability to influence without direct authority.Proficiency with Microsoft Office.Excellent verbal and written communication and skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively, as required, in a fast-paced, matrix, team environment consisting of internal and external team members.Analytical thinker with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills, including the ability to support and prioritize multiple projects.Fluent in English (verbal and written). Special knowledge or skills and/or licenses or certificates preferred. 
 Advanced degree (PhD, Master's, MBA).Direct experience working with, or closely supporting, managed markets, sales training and/or sales operations.Experience working in a small but fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment. Travel requirements: 30 - 40% - Domestic & International Expected Base Salary Range:  $236,500 - $290,000. The base salary offered will be contingent on assessment of candidate education level, background, and experience relative to the requirements of the position they are being considered for, as well as review of internal equity. In addition to base salary, PTC employees are also eligible for short- and long-term incentives.All eligible employees may also enroll in PTC's medical, dental, vision, and retirement savings plans.
