Overview

  • Mercyhealth supports remote workers that reside in the contiguous United States, including Alaska and Hawaii, with the exception of California, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Washington

The Workday Technical Lead is responsible for the management of system integrations within the architecture of the HCM, Finance, SCM systems and middleware, Responsible for leading the team which supports new and existing Workday integrations. They are responsible for aligning the technology and business team's strategies, systems analysis, requirement definitions, testing, and support of Workday in alignment with key business objectives. The Workday Technical Lead is also responsible for the daily duties and assigned tasks of the Workday Integration Engineers and Report Developers.


Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Workday Product Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced knowledge of the Workday applications and integrations to recommend and drive the execution of business solutions across the platform
  • Responsible for ensuring high quality standards are maintained and best practices are followed to maintain and enhance system functionality.
  • Identify and prioritize high impact system improvement opportunities by evaluating change requests, design inefficiencies and system capabilities offered through future releases.
  • Responsible for the technical team that provides support for routine break/fix situations, testing and supporting inbound/outbound integrations.
  • Responsible for the team who analyzes and translates functional specifications into technical specifications.
  • Ensures the technical teams understand and follow data governance, defined standards, and best practices.
  • Work closely with the Workday Product Lead to implement new and optimized integrations.
  • Empower technical partners to actively engage with business stakeholders to collaboratively establish workflow designs and develop process improvement recommendations
  • Work closely with the Workday Product Lead to review project plans and coordinate project activity within and cross the Workday support team. Daily management activities include resource allocation, scoping and prioritization of projects and issue resolution.
  • Exhibits leadership by confidence in self and others, inspires and motivates others to perform well, effectively influences actions and opinions of others.
  • Manage and oversee cross-functional projects to gather and analyze business needs and translate them into ERP solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to create product vision, prioritization, and roadmap for the implementation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Workday Team Partnering Responsibilities

  • Completes performance evaluations, disciplinary activities, and participates in the interview process for new hires. Responsible for the orientating and training of new partners
  • Build close relationships with the functional areas to understand and assign a responsible Integration Engineer and/or Report Developer to innovate, grow, improve efficiencies, address compliance requirements, and successfully execute solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional resources in the execution of the departmental strategies.
  • Establish a cadence and forum for integration changes to be communicated to the impacted users inclusive of departments and units to ensure the appropriate working knowledge is gained
  • Participates in the planning, project management and implementation of new systems and upgrades. Responsible for all aspects of the development/implementation of projects and programs involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or program from the design process through a finished state.
  • Implement measures to motivate employees and to high productivity, quality, and efficiency, and drive partner development and team member retention.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Requires professional level knowledge of information systems, configuring, building, and supporting software applications.

Completion of an appropriate Baccalaureate Degree and minimum of three years' experience in a leadership role in information systems, OR

Associate degree in relevant field of study and minimum of five years' experience in leadership role in information management, OR

Minimum of ten years' experience in information systems including leadership role.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 5+ years of experience supporting ERP systems, utilizing integrations, performing customizations, migrating data, and testing as an ERP Product Owner, Systems Analyst, or similar position.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent time and project management abilities.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with diverse customers and communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical individuals.

SUPERVISES

Directly supervises DTS Workday Integration engineers and report developers, or other DTS partners as needed. Supervisory responsibilities are conducted in accordance with directives of management, the organization's policies, and applicable laws.
