What You've Accomplished



  • Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline
  • At least 5 years of directly related experience
  • Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques, and criteria
  • Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data
  • Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships, work collaboratively within a team environment
  • Good problem identification and resolution skills
  • Displays informal leadership characteristics
  • Exhibits questioning attitude and practices self-checking
  • Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills

As a Process Engineer in Lynchburg, VA, you will be part of the proven team in the Nuclear Instrumentation Business Line in the Instrumentation & Controls Business Unit. Your work will include:



  • Complex engineering assignments requiring strong problem-solving methodology and date analysis
  • Interact with Technicians on a daily basis which requires excellent verbal communication skills
  • Process improvements, garner support from Technicians and plant management, and implement solutions
  • Be challenged to continue to develop your knowledge of the organization, process, and customers


This position requires occasional travel. Together we will enable clean, safe, and economical low-carbon energy to meet the global ambition for a better tomorrow.

Your Total Rewards Package

The range of base salary for the position is between $97,000 - $131,000, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
