Reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering we are seeking an experienced Business System Analyst III to join our team and help us develop a cutting-edge data application on the AWS platform, focused on healthcare provider data.

Location: Remote, US

Role qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 4-7 years of experience as a Business System Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare provider data, including data standards, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to understand complex systems and data structures.
  • Strong technical communication across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to navigate complex data ecosystems and resolve data lineage challenges.
  • Experience in aligning business goals with technical capabilities.
  • Proficiency in system analysis and modeling techniques.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and project management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

To differentiate yourself, you:

  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services and solutions, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, CloudFormation, IAM, and CloudWatch.
  • Mastery of SQL language.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare provider data, including data standards, quality, and regulatory requirements

What you will be doing:

  • Analyze and document system requirements, data flows, and data structures, ensuring that they align with the overall project goals and comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed technical specifications for the development team, including functional requirements, data models, and system architectures.
  • Lead system testing, validation, and troubleshooting, collaborating with the quality assurance team to identify and resolve issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members as needed, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Communicate with product teams to provide regular updates on project progress and status.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including but not limited to, process flows, data dictionaries, and system architecture diagrams.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in the healthcare data and AWS ecosystem to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the team.
  • Collaborate with other members of the organization, including management, technical teams, and end-users, to ensure that business requirements are met, and systems are functioning as intended.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on new or updated systems, processes, and functionalities.
  • Lead system implementation and provide post-implementation support, including issue resolution and system enhancements.
