Description

The Senior Social Media Specialist is responsible for leading the planning, creation, scheduling, and publishing of organic social media content across all platforms. The ideal candidate will be a proactive storyteller and platform expert who understands how to use social media to support business goals, engage audiences, and uphold brand integrity in a regulated industry. This position collaborates closely with subject matter experts on the content team and external vendors to ensure social media efforts are aligned with broader marketing strategies and brand messaging.

Essential Functions:



  • Develop and execute a comprehensive organic social media strategy aligned with brand and business goals.
  • Plan and manage the social media content calendar in collaboration with the content marketing team.
  • Create and publish engaging, brand-aligned content across the Bank's social media platforms.
  • Ensure all social media accounts are optimized and configured according to current best practices.
  • Monitor platform performance and trends, providing insights and recommendations to improve engagement and reach.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to support campaigns and community initiatives.
  • Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and ensure all content complies with industry standards.
  • Performs compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.
  • Ensures all legal and compliance requirements are completed for events being managed.


Qualifications:



  • College degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in social media strategy, content creation, and platform management.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, analytics tools, and content best practices.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience mentoring and/or managing direct reports.
  • Familiarity with social media management tools (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Later).
  • Knowledge of best practices in grammar, messaging, writing, and style with proven editorial skills and an outstanding command of the English language.
  • High degree of PC based technical skill, including proficiency with the Microsoft Suite of products with knowledge of Clients and Profits software a plus.
  • Regular and reliable attendance. May Require a flexible work schedule and attendance at functions held during non-traditional bank hours.


Compensation: $27.85 to $41.78 per hour

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, Washington. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
