Program Manager - US PMO

Are you ready to lead strategic initiatives and drive impactful results? We're seeking a Program Manager to oversee and coordinate multiple projects and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with UCB's long-term vision.

As a Program Manager, you will oversee and coordinate multiple projects, products, and strategic initiatives. This position provides guidance to Project Managers and ensures effective communication across cross-functional teams, acting as a project manager for several concurrent efforts.

This position is located in our Atlanta, GA corporate office. Candidates should reside in this location.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate diverse projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Guide Project Managers and facilitate collaboration among cross-functional teams.
  • Drive project delivery using established program and project management standards.
  • Define program requirements and objectives based on the project charter and sponsor guidance, ensuring alignment with UCB's long-term vision.
  • Develop program strategies and baseline plans (resources, scope, scheduling) using SMART business cases.
  • Partner with Finance to set, oversee, and monitor budgets, manage resource planning, and ensure robust change controls.
  • Apply project management processes throughout the program lifecycle, leveraging tools like Asana, MS Teams, SharePoint, Launch Tracker, and CRM systems.
  • Oversee program execution, monitor performance, and proactively address risks and opportunities.
  • Define and track KPIs, conduct project reviews, and manage transitions in line with UCB and US PMO standards.
  • Manage communication plans for effective information flow to all stakeholders.
  • Design and implement optimal program strategies, supporting timely and quality decision-making.
  • Build and share knowledge across the organization, including industry-specific and functional expertise.
  • Champion best practices, contribute to process improvements, and train colleagues as needed.
  • Participate in UCB's Project Management Community.

Who You'll Work With

You'll collaborate with Project Managers, Finance, cross-functional teams, and organizational leadership.

Interested? For this position you'll need the following education, experience and skills:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in technology discipline, business administration, management, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of project management experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience managing multiple projects and leading teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expertise in budget/resource allocation, project methodologies, prioritization, and planning.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana).
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Preferred certifications: PMP or PgMP.
  • Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall methodologies, budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork and a solution-driven mindset.

This position's anticipated salary range is $124,000-$162,000 annually. Actual compensation will consider internal equity, geographic region, and the candidate's experience and skills.
