40 The Public Health Strategist supports key internal strategy efforts that strengthen the Jackson County Health Department's mission and impact. This includes initiatives in strategic planning, quality improvement, accreditation, and workforce development. The ideal candidate is collaborative, innovative, and passionate about advancing public health systems and organizational excellence. What You'll Do 
 Support planning and implementation of department-wide strategies and initiatives.Conduct assessments, analyze data, and use findings to guide improvement efforts.Coordinate professional development and internal training opportunities.Lead workgroups to improve organizational effectiveness and engagement.Collaborate across teams to align programs with JACOHD's mission and values.Develop timelines, track progress, and evaluate program effectiveness.Compile data and prepare reports for leadership review.Represent JACOHD with professionalism and respect for diverse communities. Minimum Requirements 
 Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Public Health, Health Sciences, Nonprofit Management, or related fieldKnowledge of core public health functions and essential servicesUnderstanding of education program planning, implementation, and evaluationKnowledge of data analysis and research methodsStrong interpersonal, facilitation, and communication skillsExcellent written and verbal communicationAnalytical and problem-solving abilityExperience presenting to large audiencesProficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, databases)Ability to organize work, set priorities, and meet deadlines independently Preferred Qualifications
