No Beginning Review Date: 11/26/2025 About JMU: Mission General Information: The Counseling Center (CC) at James Madison University (JMU) is accepting applications for an Intake/Crisis Clinician.  Duties and Responsibilities: The Intake/Crisis Clinician is an 11-month continuing position. This position provides intake and crisis assessment within a well-established walk-in system to students experiencing emotional/psychological distress through both in-person contacts and phone interactions and subsequent referral to clinically indicated services. The position will also interface with the JMU community to provide consultation to students, faculty, staff and others who are concerned about the distressed, unusual, problematic, or potentially harmful behavior of others. Further, the position may provide training and supervision in support of the Counseling Center's robust training programs. Depending upon Center needs and/or clinician interest, the position may provide brief counseling to a small case load of clients. Qualifications: Required Qualifications:
