Job Description
As a Supervisor of Operations Training Program at WestRock Coffee you will lead the development, implementation, and growth of our training program for all production-related jobs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, supervise a team of training specialists, and be responsible for creating training materials, participate in new hire orientations, and serving as a valuable resource for employee career growth. Your strategic mindset, leadership skills, and commitment to excellence will drive the success of our training initiatives and ensure the continued professional development of our workforce.


Job Duties:


  • Training Program Development: Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive training program for all production-related jobs, ensuring alignment with company goals, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Team Management: Supervise and mentor a team of training specialists, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Assign responsibilities, set objectives, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
  • Training Material Creation: Collaborate with the training team to develop and update training materials, including manuals, presentations, videos, and other multimedia resources. Ensure content is engaging, interactive, and aligned with adult learning principles.
  • New Hire Orientation: Assist with introducing employees to company policies, procedures, safety protocols, and job-specific requirements. Foster a positive onboarding experience and promote a culture of learning and development.
  • Career Development Support: Act as a valuable resource for employees seeking career growth opportunities. Provide guidance, mentorship, and information on training programs, certifications, and advancement opportunities within the organization.
  • Training Program Evaluation: Continuously assess the effectiveness of the training program through feedback surveys, performance metrics, and observations. Analyze data, identify areas for improvement, and implement enhancements to ensure ongoing success
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify training needs, gather input, and ensure training programs align with business objectives. Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure program success.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of training activities, certifications, and employee progress. Prepare regular reports on training program effectiveness, completion rates, and key metrics to inform decision-making.

Qualifications



  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, guide, and motivate a team of training specialists.
  • In-depth knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theories, and training program development.
  • Familiarity with training software, learning management systems (LMS), and e-learning platforms.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees at all levels and build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate training needs, assess program effectiveness, and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality standards, and manufacturing processes is advantageous.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and a passion for fostering employee growth, development, and engagement.
