| About the Role We are looking for a Team Leader of General Ledger accountants to join our Accounting team. In this role you will provide day-to-day leadership of the USEast GL team through promoting operational excellence, driving continuous improvements, and helping associates deliver business results while developing them for the future. This team leader will focus their efforts on the development and success of highly functioning team members that can achieve results. This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement. Pay and Benefits:

    Lead team of GL accountants who ensure that the US ledgers are in compliance with USGAAP and local GAAP (for non-US locations)Partner with GPS & Specialty Financial Controller to ensure appropriate team resourcing and set/deliver on team strategy and priorities and with other accounting leaders (including the Technical Accounting Team) to promote accurate financial statements, best practices, optimization, and alignment across the functionProvide clear expectations and continuous coaching to team members, helping them find solutions to their challengesSupport internal controls and other compliance related requirementsEnsure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closes; coordinate audit support and reportingCoordinate and collaborate with other OpCo and regional GL leadership to help ensure consistent accounting treatment and practicesFoster an environment of trust, ownership and development for all team membersEmpower the team to deliver on expectations with purpose, discipline and imaginationCoordinate and drive to optimize processes in line with Global Finance/Accounting needs and transformation strategiesLead team through the continuously changing internal and external environmentRequired Qualifications 
    BA degree in accounting on business relatedMinimum of 5 years of GL accounting experience and3 years leading in a team environmentExperience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards, SAP, PeopleSoft, Microsoft D365, etcExperience implementing or enhancing internal control processesBusiness strategy knowledge and understanding of appropriate decision support needs as well as technical accounting knowledgeDemonstrated experience leading and adapting quickly to changing business and organizational needsExcellentcommunication and organization skillsAbility to build inclusive and diverse teams while demonstratingpassion for coaching, developing and motivating individuals and teamsAbility to effectively practice core people processesAbility to travel 10% with some internationalDesired Qualifications
