| What to Expect The Incentive Program Specialist supports Tesla's participation in incentive programs for solar, battery storage, home charging, and Virtual Power Plants. This role ensures internal teams stay aligned with active program requirements while helping surface and solve operational issues. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and technically minded and should be comfortable using a variety of software tools, understanding how systems connect, and spotting opportunities for process improvement. Professional communication with external partners such as utilities, program administrators, and local agencies is also an essential part of the role.What You'll Do
 
  Track key program deadlines, documentation requirements, and deliverables to ensure continued participation in active incentive programsMaintain and update internal support materials, job aids, and documentation as programs change or expandAssist in internal rollout of new programs by coordinating timelines, distributing requirements, and verifying team readinessMonitor internal workflows and tools to identify inefficiencies, friction points, or recurring blockers across teamsResearch and propose process improvements, workarounds, or updates by referencing internal systems, policies, or external program rulesUse program knowledge and performance indicators to identify issues, evaluate urgency, and determine which escalations require immediate attentionSupport communication with utility partners, program administrators, and government contacts by preparing responses, drafting documentation, or participating in calls with professionalism and clarityWhat You'll Bring
 
  1-3 years of experience in permitting, utility coordination, or managing program processes such as incentive or rebate fulfillment, documentation review, and issue resolution - or related experience in the renewable energy industryProven ability to identify problems and think through solutions, whether through process updates, improved documentation, or internal coordinationComfortable reading and interpreting dashboards, charts, and basic program performance data to recognize issues or patternsStrong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft professional emails, prepare reference documents, and participate in partner-facing callsAbility to work across teams, take initiative without full direction, and escalate blockers with context and clarityFamiliarity with utility or incentive programs, permitting processes, or clean energy operations (preferred but not required)Proficiency in Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, and internal systems; bonus for experience with CRM, ticketing, or workflow toolsCompensation and Benefits
