DaVita's Compliance team, "Team Quest" identifies, develops, and implements strategies to mitigate risk in a quickly evolving healthcare regulatory landscape.

As a Director for the Compliance Data and Analytics team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a strategy to support Team Quest with data needs. The Director is responsible for managing a team of eight data professionals and ensuring the developers have necessary tools and frameworks to support Team Quest, the product team has appropriate vision and understanding of priorities, and stakeholders feel supported for their data and analytics needs.

The Director is expected to independently evaluate the Compliance Data and Analytics program routinely to identify areas of opportunity, creating and implementing action plans to refine or improve team processes. The Director will directly manage the Technical Manager and Product Manager, providing guidance and oversight to ensure the right data solutions products are being developed the right way.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage Technical Lead, Product Team, and Developers: Manage Technical and Product Team, supporting teammates with their needs as they work to deliver key products to TQ and manage their teams. Provide consistent feedback and create growth opportunities, organize and track work of team. Manage data team recruiting.
  • Develop Data Team Strategy and MYO: Develop and implement data team strategy, create and execute tactical plans to advance program with support of Technical Manager and Product Manager. Continuously evaluate and refine long term vision and value proposition of data team.
  • Manage Stakeholder Relationships: Provide updates to leadership, engage with IT leadership and manage cross functional relationships outside of department, support department directors with meeting their data goals.
  • Solution Design and Prototype Development: Develop functional prototypes and design solutions to support the delivery of data products to compliance department. Ensure solution design aligns with established standards and team vision.
  • Project Management: Manage larger projects and initiatives, serve as lead developer for high visibility or highly specialized projects. Manage process maturity of data team.
  • Quality Assurance (QA): Review completed development to ensure it meets the acceptance criteria and team standards for quality, consistency. Document QA accordingly.
  • Technology Research: Conduct research into emerging technology and potential impacts to data team, including the impact of AI-driven technology in DaVita.
  • Engage in Scrum Ceremonies: Engage in sprint planning, feature and technical backlog refinement. Be available to support Developers and team managers as needed.
  • Manage Controllable Budget for Department: Support Chief Compliance Officer with management of department controllable budget. Engage leaders to set annual budget, provide routine updates to leadership through year, support TQ with budget questions, manage accruals and relationships with Finance and Accounting teams.
  • Other Duties as Assigned

Education & Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree - STEM or Business.
  • 5+ Year experience with SQL, JavaScript, or other programming languages used for data analytics.
  • 5+ Year experience with Tableau or other Business Intelligence tools.
  • 3+ Year experience managing a technical team and developing products with cross functional project teams.
  • 3+ Year experience managing direct reports.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Experience leading projects, strong verbal and written communication.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred:

  • Master's Degree - STEM or Business (MBA).

The Salary Range for the role is $133,000.00-$195,000.00 per year.
