Description Medical Group PracticesNursing/Clinical Support For a limited time MaineHealth is offering sign on bonuses for Medical Assistants: 0-1 years of experience eligible for $4,000 (full time) 1+ years of experience eligible for $5,000 (full time) Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full or Part time MA position. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment. Medical Assistant - Surgical Care
* Prepare patients for surgical procedures, including taking vital signs and reviewing medical history * Assist providers during minor procedures and support the surgical team * Educate patients and families on pre- and post-operative care instructions * Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with policies * Perform basic clinical tasks, such as phlebotomy, specimen collection, and administering medications under supervision * Ensure cleanliness and readiness of examination and procedure areas
