| About the Role We are looking for a General Ledger Accountant to join our Gore Fabrics accounting team. In this role, you will be part of a team providing valued accounting support and partnership to our businesses within a world class manufacturing enterprise. This position will be located at our facility in Elkton, Maryland, with the possibility of a hybrid remote work arrangement, depending upon the responsibilities of the role and business needs. Pay and Benefits: 
    $90,000 - $102,000 per yearFactors considered in extending an offer within this pay range include (but not limited to) education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities.

    Complete month-end closing tasks for the general ledger, including preparation and posting of journal entries, reclassifications, and various other accrualsReconcile general ledger accounts monthly to ensure accurate financial reportingPerform quarterly General Ledger activities, such as reconciliations, exception reporting, and other related tasksReview, maintain, and implement processes to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Perform regular reviews of cost center balances to ensure accuracy and complianceProvide reporting and analysis to the Finance Team, and other relevant functions as neededSupport the independent financial auditMaintain appropriate internal controlsProvide general ledger support across Operating Companies as needed fostering collaboration and consistencyWork closely with the Finance team to ensure alignment and to support the changing needs of internal customersRequired Qualifications 
    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceMinimum of 5 years of general ledger or public accounting experienceDemonstrated general ledger accounting knowledgeExcellent communication and organization skillsUS GAAP knowledge and experienceAbility to work effectively in a collaborative team environmentAbility to build relationships and be a strong business partnerCan communicate accounting concepts to non-financial associatesAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsAbility to travel up to 5%Desired Qualifications 
    Experience in a manufacturing environmentRetail accounting or Inventory Controls experience Experience with ERP systems and reporting tools; Experience with SAP B1 HANA a plus This position offers a hybrid work arrangement in the country from which the Associate is employed.
