Overview: We are seeking a tax attorney with 10+ years of experience, to supportvarious Fredrikson practice groups' M&A transactional activities. This rolewill focus primarily on advising on federal and state tax aspects ofstructuring buy- and sell-side M&A transactions across a wide range ofindustries. The ideal candidate will have first-chair experience advising ontax-related structuring of transactions, drafting and negotiating tax-relatedprovisions in purchase agreements and other transactional documents,collaborating with deal teams to identify and mitigate tax risks and optimizetransaction outcomes, and providing guidance on federal, state, andinternational tax issues relevant to transactional work. We will considercandidates interested in working in any of our offices, although candidates whowould be based in our Minneapolis office are preferred. While not required, weare open to considering candidates who are currently partners at a law firm orwho have full or partial portable books of business with availability to alsosupport tax matters in M&A transactions. In Minneapolis,the estimated starting annual salary for a full-time employee would be at least$260,000. Higher starting compensation may be offered to an attorney with moreexperience and/or a portable book of business. The compensation offered will bedependent on the candidate's experience, skills, education, professionalbackground, overall qualifications, and geographic market location.
