 Position Overview
  We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) to join our healthcare team. The PSR I represents the face of the organization, providing high-quality specimen collection and exceptional patient service. This role is responsible for performing accurate and skillful blood draws, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and maintaining strict adherence to safety, confidentiality, and quality standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, empathy, and precision while fostering an atmosphere of trust and care with every patient interaction. Job Responsibilities 
 
  
 
 Perform daily specimen collection and processing activities accurately, efficiently, and on time under the supervision of the area supervisor 
 
 Greet patients courteously and provide a positive, reassuring experience while performing phlebotomy procedures 
 
 Draw quality blood samples from patients-including pediatric and geriatric populations-following established procedures and safety standards 
 
 Prepare, label, and handle specimens in accordance with company policies and laboratory protocols to maintain integrity for testing 
 
 Maintain accurate records and documentation for all specimen collections 
 
 Uphold confidentiality of patient information and comply with all regulatory and privacy standards 
 
 Ensure a safe, clean, and professional work environment by following infection control and workplace safety procedures 
 
 Demonstrate organizational commitment and a positive company image in all interactions with patients, clients, and colleagues 
 
 Adapt to schedule changes and support additional work locations as needed 
 
 Remain flexible and available for weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime as business needs require 
  
  
 
 
Job Requirements 
 
  
 
 Ability to deliver accurate, high-quality work in a fast-paced environment 
 
 Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients 
 
 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision 
 
 Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills 
 
 Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to maintaining high performance and attendance standards 
 
 Effective interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach 
 
 Proficiency in data entry and use of electronic systems 
  
  
 
 
Education 
 
  
 
 High school diploma or equivalent required 
 
 Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred 
 
 Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington) 
  
  
 
 
Work Experience 
 
  
 
 Minimum of 6 months of phlebotomy experience required; 1 or more years preferred 
 
 Experience in a healthcare, retail, or customer service environment preferred 
 
 Keyboarding and data entry experience required
