 Position Overview
  We are seeking a skilled and professional Patient Services Representative II (PSR II) to join our healthcare team. The PSR II represents the face of the organization, providing high-quality patient care and expert specimen collection. This role is responsible for performing phlebotomy procedures, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and ensuring accuracy, safety, and confidentiality in all processes. The PSR II serves as a trusted professional to patients, creating a welcoming and reassuring environment while maintaining strict adherence to company standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, patient service center, or other collection sites as business needs dictate. Job Responsibilities 
 
  
 
 Perform daily specimen collection and processing activities accurately, efficiently, and on schedule under the supervision of the area supervisor 
 
 Collect quality blood samples from patients, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary specimens, following proper protocols and safety standards 
 
 Verify patient identification, demographics, and specimen labeling to ensure complete accuracy and compliance 
 
 Obtain patient signatures and initials post-collection to confirm labeling verification and sample integrity 
 
 Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all collections and related activities 
 
 Ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment through adherence to all safety and infection control standards 
 
 Demonstrate superior customer service by establishing trust, explaining procedures clearly, and ensuring patient comfort 
 
 Support multiple collection sites as needed, traveling between locations with minimal notice 
 
 Maintain compliance with all company policies, including dress code, attendance, and safety regulations 
 
 Exhibit strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting 
 
 Promote a positive and professional image of the organization to patients, clients, colleagues, and the general public 
 
 Participate in training and continuous improvement activities as directed 
  
  
 
 
Job Requirements 
 
  
 
 Ability to deliver high-quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment 
 
 Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collection experience 
 
 Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and efficiency 
 
 Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and a clean driving record (if applicable) 
 
 Flexibility to travel and work across multiple locations with short notice 
 
 Availability to work variable hours, including weekends, holidays, on-call shifts, and overtime as needed 
 
 Excellent communication skills with a strong customer focus and professional demeanor 
 
 Ability to make sound decisions based on established procedures and exercise good judgment 
 
 Proficient in data entry, electronic recordkeeping, and keyboarding systems 
 
 Commitment to confidentiality, safety, and compliance with all company policies 
  
  
 
 
Education 
 
  
 
 High school diploma or equivalent required 
 
 Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred 
 
 Phlebotomy certification preferred (required in California, Nevada, and Washington) 
  
  
 
 
Work Experience 
 
  
 
 Minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience required, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections 
 
 At least 2 years of experience in a patient service center or similar clinical setting preferred 
 
 Customer service experience in a healthcare, retail, or service environment preferred 
 
 Keyboarding and data entry experience required
