Carter Machinery Company, the authorized Caterpillar dealer serving Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington D.C. is hiring a Sales Coordinator in Baltimore, Maryland. The Sales Coordinator is responsible for helping and assembling the final product or sale to the customer. The individual in this role will work with various departments to facilitate and materialize the deal in partnership with a Sales Representative. Seeking candidates with previous sales support, procurement or project management experience; College degree a plus.

Requirements for the Sales Coordinator position include:
  • Self-starter able to work with limited supervision.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to network successfully with other departments, and external vendors/suppliers.
  • Must be detail-oriented, able to multi-task and possess excellent customer skills.
  • Strong PC skills required.
  • Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once and adjust to changing priorities.
  • Must be able to work overtime as needed to meet job and customer demand.
  • Promote a positive customer experience.

Physical requirements must be met for the Sales Coordinator job, including the ability sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to lift, carry and maneuver items up to 10 pounds in weight. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. Starting Compensation Range: $22.68 - $28.03 per hour

Actual base pay may vary based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, education, geographic location, and other business needs. In addition to base pay, total compensation may include participation in performance-based incentive programs, such as discretionary or non-discretionary plans.
