About the Role

We're looking for a dedicated and client-focused professional to join our team as Specialist, Vehicle Acquisition. In this role, you will serve as the point of contact for clients regarding vehicle purchases, order status, and fulfillment. This role exists to deliver a seamless end-to-end acquisition process, from securing inventory through upfitting, transportation, and delivery. The Specialist is accountable for ensuring accuracy, timelines, and transparency in client communications, while supporting exception management and enhancing overall client satisfaction.

What You'll Do

* Act as the primary point of contact for client vehicle purchases

* Receive and execute client orders, ensuring alignment with specifications

* Search dealer inventory and manage the full workflow from order submission through delivery

* Provide consultative guidance on alternative vehicles and ordering methods to maximize efficiency and ensure timely delivery of complete, turnkey vehicles

* Support and resolve issues in collaboration with Fleet Partnership Solutions (FPS) for vehicles purchased from dealerships

* Lead or participate in client/vendor/FPS conference calls to ensure alignment on order requirements and timelines

* Manage change orders, including upfit requests and compliance with client regulatory requirements related to purchase orders and payments

* Build and sustain relationships with preferred dealers and suppliers, including training, expectation setting, and payment enablement

* Deliver timely and transparent updates on purchase status to clients and internal stakeholders

* Generate, export, and analyze order reporting in Excel to share insights and updates

* Research order status and proactively communicate with dealers, upfit vendors, and transportation providers via email, phone, and Teams

* Monitor and report on industry trends and their potential impact on client vehicle acquisitions

Basic Qualifications

* Education: College/University degree in business or related field (or equivalent industry experience)

* 3 - 4 years of experience in fleet management, vendor management or automotive acquisition

* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Vlookup, formulas, pivot tables, macros)

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Demonstrated client service excellence with a client focus that advocates for client needs, ensuring expectations are consistently met or exceeded

Preferred Qualifications

* Fleet or mechanical experience with upfit and/or utility companies

Location: Hopkins, MN

The hiring base salary range for this position is $51,600 to $71,000 annually. Actual compensation within this range will be dependent upon the individual's knowledge, skills, experience, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. Please note that the disclosed salary range is solely for candidates hired to perform work within this geographic location. Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
