| Description Position Overview:Hygiene Operators support Environmental, Health & Safety initiatives by preventing hazardous elements from accumulating outside of restricted areas. This position is responsible for janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, trash removal and clean-up in restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms, and common facility areas. Operators are also assigned to desanitize respirator equipment and launder PPE. This position may be assigned to work day shift or night shift, and may be scheduled for 8 hour or 12-hour shifts as determined by management.
 Responsibilities: 
  
 Taking direction from Team Leader and upper managementSweeping, mopping, trash removal and clean-up of restrooms, breakrooms, locker rooms and other assigned areas.Assist in management of coverall and other personal protective equipment (PPE) cleaning programsDesanitization and cleaning of personal protective equipment including respirators, PAPR units, dirty clothes, and towelsPreparing, distributing and re-filling drink coolersFollowing all SOP's (standard operating procedures) exactly as intendedParticipating in required training as well as Safety Meetings and other programsNotifying management (and possibly Engineering) of any mechanical and/or operational problemsSafely operating heavy equipment (training provided)Other duties as assigned by management
 Requirements: 
  
 High School Diploma or GED requiredProficient in English language communication (reading, writing and speaking) and basic mathPassing of all pre-employment requirements which includes:
 
   
 Criminal background checkEmployment and academic verificationsDrug/alcohol screen & comprehensive physical
 
 Previous work experience in heavy industrial manufacturing environment strongly preferred, but not required
