A POSTDOCTORAL POSITION is available immediately to study the molecular mechanisms of hepatitis B virus replication and persistence in the laboratory of Jianming Hu, MD, PhD, Professor, Department of Cell and Biological Systems, H-107, The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, 500 University Drive, Hershey, PA 17033, E-mail: juh13@psu.edu, Web: https://pure.psu.edu/en/persons/jianming-hu.

The post-doctoral scholar will perform sophisticated experiments to study the replication and pathogenesis mechanisms of hepatitis B virus, using a variety of technologies including biochemistry, molecular and cell biology, and animal models.
The scholar will be responsible for training junior staff and students in the lab. Furthermore, the scholar will be involved in various aspects of collaborations within the lab and with other laboratories. The scholar will also be responsible for analyzing and summarizing experimental results for internal and external presentations and for progress reports and publications, etc.

A Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) with research experience in virology, molecular biology, or cell biology is required. Interested applicants should submit their curriculum vitae along with names of three references.
