JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS An excellent opportunity exists for a Medical Technologist to work in a college health setting. The qualified candidate is responsible for obtaining and preparing laboratory specimens and performing all diagnostic testing and related quality controls. This is a generalist job with rotation in chemistry, hematology, serology/immunology and microbiology. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or higher plus five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Current certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology is preferred. Must be proficient in venipuncture technique. Must have experience in the operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of various laboratory analyzers and computer systems.
