Our Company

Join the Digital Imaging organization as a User Researcher to drive research development, end-to-end execution, and produce business-critical insights for Adobe's Imaging and Photography products. You'll work with interdisciplinary researchers on a one-of-a-kind team. Our group is purpose-built to support product development - ranging from exploring market opportunities, early concept validation and customer discovery, to delivering and evolving our exceptional products in market.

The Opportunity

As part of the Product Research, Innovation, and Market Exploration team (PRIME), you'll provide core execution, analysis, and reporting support for mixed-methods research, including qualitatively focused studies (in-depth interviews, prototype testing / feature reviews, focus groups, workshops, longitudinal studies, prerelease groups / insight communities, etc.) and quantitative projects (customer surveys, benchmarking and other assessments). These projects aid in product development and innovation at Adobe's Digital Imaging division, involving Photoshop, Lightroom, and groundbreaking creative imaging and photography products. Your work will become a trusted resource among DI leaders, product managers, marketers, designers, research scientists, and engineers - and partners across the company.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Master's or PhD degree in social, cognitive, or behavioral science subject area (psychology, sociology, or similar field).

  • Proficient with research design using various methods including but not limited to interviews, usability studies, and surveys. Desired: strong skills using research platforms such as UserTesting.com, UserZoom, or similar.

  • Advanced skills in survey design, programming, and population research (complex sampling techniques, statistical weighting, bias mitigation).

  • Proven abilities in quantitative methods and statistical concepts.

  • Proficient in at least one statistical software package (SPSS, Stata, SAS, MPlus, R, Q) and familiar with comparative analysis techniques.

  • Expert in survey programming in at least one platform (Qualtrics, Decipher, or similar). Scripting skills area plus.

  • Expert in at least one presentation software (PowerPoint, Keynote, Prezi).

  • Strong visual communication experience, including report writing to communicate research results to professional audiences.

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate research results and methodologies in language appropriate for business audiences.

  • Experience developing and driving research roadmaps that maintain alignment with product team and organization top priorities (or equivalent research planning and execution ownership).

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $102,000 -- $197,200 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
