   Position Summary: Under general supervision; perform a variety of office clerical functions for the department(s) on a regular basis.

   Duties and Responsibilities: 
    Perform routine secretarial duties such as word processing/typing, filing, verifying information, coordinating flow of documents and scheduling events and meetingsOperate personal computer to enter data, compile and type reports, prepare letters and general correspondenceMonitor departmental budget(s) and perform routine record keeping dutiesPerform a range of operational support activities for the department(s) and serve as a liaison with other departments on basic administrative and/or operational mattersGreet and direct visitors, and when appropriate, resolve routine problems and answer inquiries concerning activities and operations of the department(s), accept, screen and route telephone calls, and maintain log of inquiries as requiredSort, screen, and distribute mailOrder, stock and distribute office suppliesMay oversee the functional activities of student employeesRegular and predictable attendance requiredPerform other related duties as assigned Minimum Job Requirements: High school diploma or GED certificate and a minimum of six months experience directly related to the duties specified are required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 
    Ability to perform routine and moderately complex clerical tasks rapidly and accuratelySkill in the use of standard office equipmentAbility to understand and convey procedures and regulations establishedAbility to perform basic bookkeeping proceduresAbility to maintain confidentiality of records and informationSkill in word processing and data entryAbility to maintain an effective working relationship with othersAbility to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
