   Position Summary: Eastern New Mexico University's (ENMU) Department of Health and Human Services invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor of Nursing. The position entails a 4/4 teaching load. This is a residential appointment in a collegial department with a supportive campus culture, and campus presence/relocation is required. ENMU seeks candidates committed to excellent undergraduate and graduate education and student success within the framework of the teacher-scholar model.

   Duties and Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Nursing Program Director 
    Provide online BSN and MSN level instruction support to nursing students and the nursing program.Advisement and mentoring.Research and other scholarly activities are expected The faculty member will be expected to assist with ACEN accreditation compliance as assigned Recruitment and Retention duties. Contribute to academic planning, curricular design, program development, recruiting/retention efforts, and program assessment.Serve on departmental, college and university committees.Attend departmental and university faculty meetings and external meetings as requiredRegular and predictable attendance is requiredPerform other appropriate duties as assigned by the Nursing Director and/or as outlined in the Faculty Handbook. Minimum Job Requirements: 
    Doctorate or ABD required.Graduate degree in Nursing required.Nursing education certification with online teaching experience preferred. Candidate must be eligible for New Mexico RN licensure.  Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 
    Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skillsMust possess strong commitment to excellence in teaching students of diverse backgrounds. Must have the skills to design, deliver, and manage online learning courses using a Learning Management System.

   Physical Demand and Working Conditions: Work is generally sedentary in nature. The job may require exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a consistent amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
