Sprague is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team and support our Total Fuel Management programs. This role is critical to ensuring the operational readiness and seamless functioning of our clients' fueling systems, particularly for consignment fuel locations and our Fleet Card business.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Expertise & System Readiness



  • Provide comprehensive support services to Total Fuel Management customers, ensuring their fueling systems are always operationally ready. This includes overseeing 24/7/365 remote and in-field support.
  • Serve as the company's subject matter expert for support, sales, purchasing, and installation across a range of critical equipment and systems.
  • Possess deep knowledge of various fueling systems and their components, including but not limited to tanks, piping, dispensers, advanced tank monitoring solutions, and fuel transaction equipment. You'll be the go-to person for understanding their functionality, maintenance, and integration.
  • Demonstrate expert understanding of the communication hardware essential for these systems. This includes proficiency with cellular routers, robust security protocols, range extenders, and both serial and Ethernet extenders, ensuring reliable data transmission and connectivity.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive planning for tank monitoring services, including installation, programming, and reporting.


Client Engagement & Sales Support



  • Act as the primary point of contact and liaison for Total Fuel Management customer site representatives.
  • Assist sales teams by providing technical expertise and support to prospective customers.
  • Develop detailed pricing proposals for required repair and construction services for clients.


Billing, Inventory & Transaction Oversight



  • Supervise customer invoicing and mark-up processes through billing personnel.
  • Support the reconciliation of consignment fuel location inventory and transactions, including proactive exception oversight and resolution, in collaboration with Fleet Card and accounting teams.


Contractor & Vendor Management



  • Manage and oversee third-party contractors responsible for inspection, repair, and construction services performed at customer sites.
  • Oversee the relationship with tech support services for Fuelmaster and Veeder Root systems.


Environmental & Regulatory Compliance



  • Lead the oversight of environmental testing and compliance programs to ensure customer adherence to local environmental protection agencies (e.g., NYS DEC, NJ DEP).
  • Maintain reporting specifications for contract customers and ensure contract compliance for inspection and repair services.


Cross-Functional Collaboration



  • Coordinate and oversee necessary engineering services for customer projects.
  • Serve as a key liaison between Sprague IT and customer personnel as needed.



This opportunity will be based out of the Harrison, NY office.

Qualifications:



  • Proven management-level experience in fuel system construction and maintenance, or demonstrated equivalent capabilities.
  • A strong track record of successful project management.
  • Ability to research, analyze issues, and resolve complex business problems.
  • Outstanding knowledge of fuel delivery systems and associated equipment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to foster positive employee and customer experiences across diverse locations and departments.
  • Demonstrated ability to be a positive change agent, collaborating effectively across multiple departments and with external parties.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Outstanding electronic and digital aptitude, with flexibility and interest in technology. Ability to navigate and troubleshoot IT complexities independently and for team members.

The salary range for this position is $95,000-$135,000, based on experience.
