Position Title: Welder
Wage: $20-$23/hour Shift: 2nd Hours: 1:30pm-12am Monday-Thursday We are searching for welding candidates with prior MIG welding experience for a 2nd shift role we have available in North Kansas City, MO. This company does offer room to grow and even offers performance raises during the contract-to-hire period! Candidates will complete an interview and weld test for this role. Welder Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Apply appropriate welding process to materials and repair welds on parts per specifications - Perform as a team member which requires cross training in other departments - Perform safety checks and preventative maintenance on welding equipment and completed products - Weld various metals such as stainless steel and galvanized - Read and understand tape measures, various gauges, work orders, charts and safety regulations - Knowledge and skills with multiple welding processes (Fuel Gas, Gas Metal Arc, Gas Tungsten Arc) Welder Requirements: - Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively - Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for extended amounts of time - Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel as needed - Must be able to read and interpret blueprints - High level of attention to detail and organized - Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate with customers, coworkers, and leaders - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Must be proficient with computers including handheld scanners - Function with a team, take direction, and have a positive attitude QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
