OVERVIEW: The Maintenance Technician repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment; gear and sprocket drives, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, loading systems, production machines and equipment by performing the following duties. DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES 
 
  
 Performs routine facility maintenance as assignedPerforms Preventative Maintenance regularlyPLC TroubleshootingObserves and troubleshoots mechanical devices in operation byadjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments, as well as repairing/replacing defective partsOptimizes capabilities of various packing (bagging) machinesInstalls special functional and structural parts in devicesResponsible for aiding in startup process to ensure equipment is operating correctlySets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to make and repair partsContains a strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to assist in resolving issues and fostering Continuous ImprovementKeep maintenance shop and parts/tool/belt storage areas clean and organized.Fill out all required paperwork promptly and accurately.Work effectively and ensure that food safety, authenticity, legality, and quality are maintained.Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification product, equipment, packaging or raw materials, to a designated manager to enable the resolution of issues requiring immediate action.All other duties as assigned
 
 
 WORK EXPERIENCES 
 
  
 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience required, preferably within a manufacturing facilityProven ability to successfully meet customer and management deadlinesHighly organized, self-starter that can work with little direct supervisionAbility to work a flex schedule as needed
 
 
 EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS 
 
  
 High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience requiredAssociate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.

 COMPENSATION 
 
  
 Hourly rate $25.75-32.45/hour based on experience. Benefits include healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs) available the first of the month following 30 days of employment, 401(k) with match, life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, vacation, holiday and sick time.2nd Shift differential: $1.00/hr; 3rd Shift differential: $1.50/hr
