This role requires deep expertise in mortgage accounting and finance, including a thorough understanding of the mortgage origination process and its impact on financial performance. Preference will be given to candidates who are familiar with fair market value accounting and hedge accounting, with the ability to assess and manage interest rate risk and valuation impacts. Experience partnering with mortgage operations, risk, and treasury teams is highly preferred, as is the ability to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights for senior leadership. Position Title: Group Finance Leader Business Unit: Finance Reports to: Director of Corporate Finance Position Overview: This position is responsible for providing financial expertise to support the lines of business management including planning, forecasting, profitability measurement, financial management/improvement, and related financial analysis. The incumbent is responsible for providing all accounting and finance support including analysis for these areas and communicating results, trends and insight to unit leaders and senior management. In addition, the incumbent owns one or more strategic projects or processes across the company which may include M&A support, Fact Book, cost savings, capex, etc. Primary Responsibilities: Strong partnership / thought leadership with executive and operating leaders within the given Group/Segment. Own all planning cycles including developing forecasts, outlooks and plans along with the fidelity to those forecasts. May own or be required to review, control and monitor, select month end closing processes or sets of general ledger entries. Consolidate financial and operational metrics across the given LOB/Segment and analyze key drivers of results; identify risks and opportunities. Drive and facilitate new initiatives and accurately capture the impact to noted financial and operating metrics. Must effectively interact and drive informed decision-making with executive leadership. Prepare and lead quarterly business reviews with senior management, providing clear and actionable insights for change to improve the P&L or balance sheet position. Participate in and/or lead select strategic projects or processes including but not limited to M&A deals, cost savings initiatives, cross sell analysis, Financial Planning and Analysis processes (including FactBook ownership) or capital investment analysis. Drive standardization and process improvements in financial planning and reporting across both the financial and operating teams of the given Group/Segment. Prepares various financial/operating reports, accurately and timely, for presentation to senior leaders, the Board of Directors, and other appropriate entities to state the business line and legal entity performance as applicable and financial position. May participate on and may be a Board member for various legal entities operating within or across the given Segment/Group. Performs other related duties and projects as assigned. Understanding of bank regulatory and compliance issues. Licensures/Certifications Required to Perform the Primary Responsibilities of this Position: CPA, CMA, Master degree or related designation preferred.
