About the Role:


We have an exciting opportunity to support our Technology team as a Senior AEM Software Engineer based in Shelton, CT or Miami, FL. The Senior AEM Software Engineer is a highly skilled web expert responsible for the development, delivery, and maintenance of Subway's web application. You will work on implementing new features, optimizing performance, and ensuring the web application provides a seamless user experience. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including designers, product managers, and backend developers, to define and execute the web application roadmap. Your expertise will be crucial in troubleshooting and resolving issues, and you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:



  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of our new web site using AEM components, templates, workflows, and integrations.
  • Architect and implement scalable AEM solutions that align with Subway's brand and business goals.
  • Optimize performance, security, and maintainability of AEM applications.
  • Identify technical debt and provide suggested timelines to resolve.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to code reviews and best practices.
  • Work with QA and support teams to identify and resolve defects and performance bottlenecks.


Qualifications (some examples listed below):



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in AEM development (Sites, Assets, Forms).
  • Strong programming skills in one or more languages (e.g., JavaScript, Java, C#,).
  • Strong proficiency in Java, JCR, Sling, OSGi, and Apache Felix.
  • Experience with front-end technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Knowledge of SEO, accessibility, and performance optimization.
  • Adobe Certified Expert (AEM Sites Developer) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
