Job Summary

The Quality Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates all on-site QC functions and activities to ensure compliance with applicable company, owner/contract, and government regulations and requirements. Establishes and conducts internal/external surveillance and audits to ensure quality control requirements are met. Decides acceptance or rejection of all work in process and completed work activities.


Essential Functions

  • Actively support the Company's commitment to safety and its "Core Values."
  • Represent the Company at all times with high moral standards while adhering to the Company's "Code of Business Conduct and Ethics."
  • Provides technical expertise in support of the Quality program, including inspection and testing techniques, quality training, statistical methods, audits, quality tools for problem solving and assessment.
  • Creates inspection reports stating the conditions of work products to ensure requirements are met. Makes recommendations for corrections.
  • Applies knowledge of quality systems and tools to validate and verify contractually required standards for project execution.
  • Responsible for maintaining quality standard of products and the procedures and materials that go into work scope. Aligns quality supervisor function with the performance needs of the project.
  • Under general direction, is accountable for the performance and results of other inspectors and subcontractor quality departments for the assigned project.
  • Prepares weld and flange maps of all piping systems in the project.
  • Plans, conducts, and documents Welder Performance Qualification Testing.
  • Reviews and assigns Welding Procedure Specifications to weld joints.
  • Developments Pressure Test Packages in accordance with Code of Construction and project specifications.
  • Prepares, assembles and organizes quality records for project turnover to customer.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • 6+ years related experience in project QA/QC management
  • 2+ years' experience in a leadership or management role.
  • Current AWS CWI certification required. Additional certification in a discipline specific inspection process (e.g., ASNT Level II, NACE etc.) preferred.
  • Must have extensive field welding knowledge, in the following weld processes (GTAW, SMAW, and FCAW)
  • Demonstrated ability to perform Weld Mapping, plan and conduct Welder Performance Qualification Testing, and development of Pressure Test Packages.
  • Thorough understanding of industry practices, codes and standards.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize performance.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

The pay rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications and prior experience, specific skill set, geographic location, internal equity, and other factors influencing pay. As such, an actual salary may fall closer to one or the other end of this range, and in certain circumstances, may fall outside the listed hiring range.
Hiring range: $60.00 to $80.00 per hour
