TITLE: Assistant Production Manager
POSITION OBJECTIVE: To support the Production Manager in overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role helps manage production staff, coordinates workflow, monitors equipment and processes, and ensures compliance with company policies, safety standards, and production goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Min 2 years of college
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost optimization, and a good understanding of human behavior and performance.
- Ability to work across various departments in a manufacturing facility.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in supervising daily manufacturing operations, including scheduling, staffing, and assigning tasks to production employees.
- Support training, coaching, and development of production team members to maintain high levels of performance, quality, and safety.
- Monitor production lines, equipment, and processes to ensure efficiency and minimal downtime.
- Help in developing new profiles and work with potential customers as needed.
- Control expenditures in accordance with the business plan and production volume changes.
- Continually improve safety records by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
- Help troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with maintenance or quality teams to resolve problems.
- Track and report key production metrics (output, scrap, efficiency, labor hours).
- Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments (maintenance, quality, logistics, HR) to meet production schedules and customer needs.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize workflow.
- Fill in for the Production Manager when needed.
- Promote and maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas.
- Meet labor and overhead objectives based on sales forecast and sales activity.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
- Ability to work in an extremely hot environment, humid in the summer months, and cold in the winter months.
