This is a temporary position located at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida and is not eligible for a telecommuting schedule. This assignment will end upon project completion.

Essential Functions

  • Manage contract transition project to include detailed schedules, objectives, and deliverables for projects involving all relevant stakeholders
  • Identify project resource requirements and coordinates directly and indirectly with project staff to ensure successful completion of the project. Organize project team members to ensure communication and understanding of scope, timelines, assignments, and objectives.
  • Perform on-going review of project status and escalate issues where necessary. Notify management team early of potential technical challenges and schedule delays
  • Interface with project staff and stakeholders to manage project scope and schedule.
  • Oversee status reporting on project performance to management.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in a business or technical related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five (5) or more years of experience in project management
  • Experience managing projects in large, cross functional, matrixed teams
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience working on the Eastern or Western Range and familiarity with locations and facilities
  • Experience working with varying project management methodology (traditional waterfall, agile, etc.) including budget development, project planning, control and assurance methodologies, project management software, and finance and accounting concepts and practices, preferred
  • Experience working on a Department of Defense contract and familiarization with Federal Acquisition Regulations preferred
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • Must hold U.S. citizenship and active DoD Security clearance
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License
