Salary/Hourly Rate:24Pay rate : $24 per hour Job Summary This position will oversee a Day Works work crew and oversee all job site activities and ensure that participant workers are trained appropriately for their site (ie. personal safety, use of equipment, body mechanics, PPE, reporting of accidents/injuries, etc.). This position ensures that the logistics of the sites are managed (transportation, food, equipment), and keeps in close contact with the Program Manager, Case Managers and Employment Specialists for coordination. This position will shop for food and supplies needed, and prepare lunches as needed. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review. * Supervise all activities on the job site, including training personnel to ensure safety and work quality, managing assets and equipment, ensuring supplies are available, and communicating with participants and DDW management. * Work alongside participants, maintaining line-of-sight supervision of all crew members at all times. * Transport participants to and from the designated work location each day. * Maintain accurate records, including progress notes and service data in the client database, and complete all required paperwork promptly. * Assess employability criteria, document participants' abilities in the client database, and discuss findings with the team during meetings. Additional Responsibilities * Welcome new participants and organize the crew for day labor; coordinate lunches for workers. * Develop rapport with participants and provide mentorship, advocacy, and rehabilitation support to individuals experiencing homelessness and possibly significant disabilities. * Connect participants with case managers for health, food/nutrition, and shelter resources using trauma-informed practices. * Work collaboratively with various stakeholders, adapt to shifting priorities, and maintain positive relationships with business and city partners. * Keep inventory of tools, assess their condition, and coordinate with the Program Manager for replacements or new acquisitions. * Clean and sanitize the vehicle daily; report any maintenance or repair needs to the Manager. * Attend applicable staff and community meetings. * Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s) * Lived experience with homelessness, addiction recovery, disability, or other challenges is preferred. 2 years of experience working with individuals facing barriers to employment required. * High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) preferred.* Crisis intervention and trauma-informed care practices experience preferred. * Supporting individuals with poverty, homelessness, addiction, justice involvement, and disabilities in gaining and maintaining employment preferred. * Understanding mental illness and its impact on employment situations preferred. * Valid driver's license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required. Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR) required. * Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Strong verbal and written communication skills * Basic computer proficiency, including email, Microsoft Office, and data entry * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Comfortable working outdoors in all Colorado weather conditions * Physically able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs * Commitment to an integrated services model, emphasizing employment as a key strategy for ending poverty and homelessness .
